It’s actually pretty simple (and cheap!) to re-hydrate coco bricks and make your own coco mix. I’ve done it many times over the years, and it isn’t difficult at all. That being said, I have to admit I typically just buy a pre-made potting mix to save time and money. Although it costs a bit more, it is great for lazy people like me.

What’s a Good Pre-Made Coco Mix?
Mother Earth Coco Mix is a highly recommended pre-made coco coir mix for growing cannabis. It’s what I use. However, there are many coco mixes work great for growing marijuana. Other examples I’ve used with great results are FoxFarm Coco Loco and Roots Organics Coco Soilless Mix.
